About the project
One Portrait is a self-funded community outreach project to provide dignified photographic portraits to elderly persons, especially those living below or close to the poverty line. The objective is to give each elderly person a framed portrait, and in the process, affirm the basic human dignity to which every person is rightfully conferred.

About the team
The team is made up of a group of like-minded professional photographers and make-up artists, who wanted to make use of their skills to do some social good. So far, we have managed to conduct seven sessions since Sep 2020, and created more than 100 portraits of elderly persons in Jalan Kukoh and Pipit Road. Each print is carefully signed, framed, and presented in person to the elderly person. We hope that in the process of the portraiture session, we have managed to spark joy in their lives and usher in the hope that every person matters.

Donations
Give a gift of dignity
Currently, our most significant cost is the purchase of photo frames and photographic prints for the elderly.
Each A4-sized framed photo costs around SGD$10 to produce. At the moment, we give out 20-25 frames per month, and this project has been self-funded by the Captured collective, since we began the project in Sep 2020.
